Ignorance of law and precedent is what government and the military count on to continue to be able to act in secrecy as they wage illegal war, commit unlawful conspiracies against sovereign nations, torture and abuse the basic human rights of millions upon millions. It is what allows them to continue to misrepresent their citizens and remain outside the democratic balance and regulation that is a part of law specifically to protect against such abuses. Manning is a hero to the US and to all people of the world for his stand and the complacency of those who think this an unworthy cause or the arrogance of those who desire to see him prosecuted for exposing the truth are the only hope the lawless and those who want to remain above the law have. It will weaken and destroy everyone's freedom if Manning is not acquitted. I for one will not sit around on my hands while he is unjustly punished. I will not stay on the couch while the USA is further weakened by the abuse of power subverting freedom currently and I am done being too lazy to act.
